Background
Celer designs, builds and consults on financial markets trading solutions. We build world-class products that power the global finance community and make the lives of our partners easier.

Celer’s backend is written in Java with a microservices architecture, and we use a variety of communication protocols, including grpc, grpc-web, websocket and JSON. 

We are currently in the process of rewriting our frontend in React. This includes a number of greenfield projects: a futures and fx trading application, a new admin web app, as well as a React-native mobile app. 

Our projects are hosted on Gitlab and a CI/CD approach is utilised for deployment, along with the gitflow model for structuring our development.

Job Role
As a junior full-stack engineer you will be working on a number of exciting React and Java projects for our multi-asset platform. 

It is essential the candidate has at least one year of React and Java experience. We are looking for someone to grow in the company and be able to take on more responsibility over time.

Team
You will be working within a team that is spread across our London, Toronto and Hong Kong offices and is accountable for the evolution of our FX trading platform from conception through to delivery. Among others, the platform includes an order management system (OMS), market making capabilities, risk and trade capture reporting.

Responsibilities
Design and develop new features and enhancements within our Java based products.

Analysing and improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Java

Other requirements

• Experience in building scalable and distributed systems

• Knowledge in FX trading
  Good problem solving and analytical skills

• Ability to "think outside the box"
